ESWT SHOCKWAVE THERAPY

Extra corporeal shockwave therapy is a non-invasive method of treatment that involves delivery of pressure waves through fluid and soft tissue. Great results in only 3-5 sessions for conditions like:

  • Epicondylitis (tennis or golfer’s elbow)
  • Plantar fascilitis (heel spur)
  • Calcify tendinitis of the shoulder
  • Achillodynia (pain syndrome of the Achilles tendon)
  • Patellar tendonitis (jumper’s knee)
  • hypertension

During Shockwave therapy, a high-intensity sound wave interacts with the tissues of the body. This leads to a cascade of beneficial effects such as neovascularisation ingrowth, reversal of chronic inflammation, stimulation of collagen and dissolution of calcium build-up. Stimulation of these biological mechanisms creates an optimal healing environment. As the injured area is returned to normal, functionality is restored and pain is relieved.

ELECTRO PHYSICAL AGENTS

Electrotherapy is the use of electrical currents as a medical treatment for tissue repair and stimulation of the muscles and nerves. Some of the forms of electrotherapy are the interferential, TENS, direct current, iontophoresis and muscle stimulation currents for atrophies. Electrotherapy could be used in sprains, swelling conditions and for pain reduction.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound uses sound waves to speed up the healing process. These waves enhance microcirculation and increase mobility of proteins, blood cells and lymphatic flow. The effects of the ultrasound are pain and swelling reduction and lessening the stiffness of joints and muscles.

Laser therapy

Laser therapy helps the cells to regenerate and function well. The laser energy can pass through superficial tissues to interact with deeper areas and stimulate the collagenous and contractile proteins. Through this mechanism we speed up the healing process, reduce the inflammation and swelling and increase the circulation in the area.

ATM2

Active therapeutic movements provide immediate and long lasting benefits to many back, neck, shoulder, hip and pelvis sufferers. ATMs consist of a few active neuromuscular movements aim to immediately alter the symptom. The ATM (Active Therapeutic Movement) Concept involves enhancing or improving any motion by initially stabilizing and repositioning compromised body areas relative to musculoskeletal issues and then implementing controlled movements or exercises towards the complaint movement or compromised body area under questions, by affecting the central nervous system control.

The ATM Concept provides immediate and sustained outcomes for most issues relative to movement impairments. The ATM2 system can immediately change the way muscles move and therein provide immediate, consistent, and long-lasting results for most users.

ACUPUNCTURE-TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE

A system of complementary medicine in which fine needles are inserted in the skin at specific points along the energy lines (meridians). Acupuncture has its origin from China and has been practiced there for thousands years. It can be used in the treatment of various physical conditions such as:

  • -back and neck pain
  • -fibromyalgia -hypertension
  • -migraines and headaches
  • -osteoarthritis
  • -postoperative pain
  • -painful period

The general theory of acupuncture is based on the premise that there are patterns of energy flow (Qi) through the body that are essential for health. Disruptions of this flow are believed to be responsible for disease. Acupuncture may corrects imbalances of flow at identifiable points close to the skin

MANUAL THERAPY

Manual therapy actually means "hands on" physiotherapy treatment including joint manipulation and mobilization, soft tissue massage and muscle energy techniques. Manual therapy can be helpful for the treatment of joints that lack adequate mobility and range of motion in certain musculo-skeletal conditions. This limitation can cause discomfort, pain, and an alteration in function, posture, and movement. Manual physical therapy involves restoring mobility to stiff joints and reducing muscle tension in order to return the patient to more natural movement without pain. Thus, manual physical therapy may provide back pain relief both for patients with chronic back pain involving joint problems, such as sacroiliac joint dysfunction and acute back pain from soft tissue injuries such as a back muscle strain or a pulled back ligament. After the treatment the patients are encouraged to continue an exercise program in order to maintain the stability of the affected area of the body and prevent recurring pain.

REHABILITATION GYM

In our place there is a fully equipped rehabilitation gym in aim to help your recovery after surgeries, accidents and injuries by strengthening your muscles, restore your normal mobility and improve your balance and endurance. Also we use special therapeutic exercise tailored to restore range of motion and optimizing function, spinal stability and correct posture. Among the types of therapeutic exercise are those that (1) increase or maintain mobility of the joints and surrounding soft tissues, (2) develop coordination through control of individual muscles, (3) increase muscular strength and endurance, and (4) promote relaxation and relief of tension.

Post surgical rehabilitation programs after:

  • Cruciatum ligament reconstruction
  • Shoulder surgery
  • Meniscectomy
  • Spine surgery

POWER PLATE TRAINING

Full body training in only 15 minutes, 3 times per week. Power plate is a vibration machine manufactured on health and safety standards in aim to give to your body a safe and really high speed workout.

Power-Plate is a great time-saver due to the effectiveness of training and the fact that many muscle groups are activated at the same time. It's claimed that 10 minutes on the Power-Plate will have the same results as 60 minutes of conventional strenuous training. So you can have full body training in only 10 minutes, 3 times per week. Power plate has a wide range of health, aesthetic, rejuvenation and anti aging effects like:

  • Increases muscle strength
  • Increases flexibility
  • Activates blood circulation
  • Reduces cellulite
  • Increases bone density

KINESIOTAPING

Kinesiotaping method was created and developed by dr Kenzo Kase in 1973. This taping method is felt to cause physiological effects on circulatory-lymphatic, neural, muscular and fascial systems as well as the joints. Kinesio taping is currently being used by therapists to change muscle tone, move the lymphatic fluids, correct movement patterns and improve posture. The tape is applied along muscles, ligaments, and tendons (soft tissue) to provide a lightweight, external support that helps you remain active while recovering from injuries.

Kinesio taping creates neuromuscular feedback (called proprioception) that inhibits (relaxes) or facilitates stronger firing of muscles and tendons. This feedback creates support elements without the bulk and restriction commonly associated with wraps and heavy bracing.

Also alleviates pain and facilitates lymphatic drainage by microscopically lifting the skin. This lifting affect forms convolutions in the skin thus increasing interstitial space and allowing for a decrease in inflammation of the affected areas.

TECARTHERAPY MEDICAL PRESCRIPTION
YOUR NATURAL ACCELERATOR

Winback accelerates healing and relieves muscle and joint pain. It is a high frequency ad non invasive energy which boosts your body’s natural ability to repair itself.

Winback relieves pains by blocking durably the nerve impulses.

During your session, you feel a gentle heat, deep and relaxing.

Your blood and lymph circulation is restored and you get a broad range of motion.

WINBACK TECARTHERAPY
Your expert physiotherapist will use WINBACK during your rehabilitation sessions. S/He will use manual techniques and equipment to ensure that you enjoy a restful treatment.

From the first Tecar Therapy session, you will see visible results (an increase in range of motion, pain relief, improved circulation) as part of your rehabilitation.

Winback Tecar therapy offers a unique variety of treatments for chronic and acute conditions with very few contraindications.
